NeoMath Web
Neo's equation and chemistry editor inside the browser, for learning platforms, content editors and exam systems.
On this page
NeoMath Web takes Neo’s equation editor and chemistry editor into web pages and text editors. The equation becomes an image: double-clicking reopens the right editor to edit it, and the text stays clean to save.
What NeoMath Web includes#
| Piece | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Equation editor | dialog with symbol palette, LaTeX and MathML editing and live preview |
| Chemistry editor | formulas and reactions, structures, balancing and the Bohr atomic model |
| Editor plugins | TipTap (ProseMirror) and CKEditor 5, with both products |
| Web Components | <neo-math>, <neo-chem> and the form fields <neo-math-editor> and <neo-chem-editor> |
| JavaScript API | generate images, convert LaTeX and MathML, open the editor and watch editable images |
How the equation ends up in the text#
Each equation goes into the text as a crisp image, aligned with the line of text.
- The content stays readable by screen readers.
- The saved text comes back the same after reloading the page.
- NeoMath and NeoChem are only loaded when the user opens one of them.
Chemistry on the web#
The web chemistry editor is the classroom, everyday version: type, see, balance, draw the atom and insert. The dialog has four modes: Formulas and reactions, Structures, Balance and Atom (Bohr). The free structure editor, verification, report, InChI and full stoichiometry stay in the NeoChem app.
Styles and presets#
NeoMath Web uses the same equation styles as the app. There are ready-made font presets (for example Calibri, Tahoma and Courier) and the option to load your own.
Integrate#
The steps for TipTap, CKEditor 5 and Web Components, with code examples, are in Web editors.
